The Lotus Pond is in bloom at the Botanical Gardens in Sydney. I returned and took a few photos this afternoon after seeing them daintily unfurled in the sunshine yesterday.

Last year was my best yet in terms of keeping my New Year's Resolution. I vowed to swim for fitness at least 3 times a week and with the exception of two weeks of holiday which made it much harder to swim laps because I was so busy, I did.
This year's resolution is to learn to surf. Properly. 
But I'm adding another to the list, after being so inspired by some of the amazing photo blogs out there.
To keep and regularly update a blog of the photos I take, the things that I find, the interesting stuff that I learn. 
Fingers crossed I can keep it up.

(The last leg of a fortnight long cruise, in case you were wondering...Even though I'm a regular visitor to Melbourne, it was still really tough deciding exactly how I was going to spend 6 hours in such a fantastic city)
